Here is a shot of blue glass hopper #5812 taken on February 26, 1978 in Denville, NJ. I have previously written about these hoppers extensively on this blog but when I saw this slide I had to buy it. I have a similar shot taken on the same day at the link posted above, but it doesn't show the chain between the two hoppers that is visible here. Where did the coupler go? Was this car out of service already? The City of Oneonta insignia wasn't painted out for MOW service so I don't know the story here.
