Here is a shot of a passenger special stopping in Altamont on June 08, 1995 on a very overcast day (much like today, actually). Running on the old Albany Main, it would only be a few years longer before the line was essentially downgraded to a long connecting spur from Delanson to the nearby industrial park. The other track buried in the weeds was later cut back before the crossing, but it still exists today. Some history on the line can be found here.
Who would have thought that nearly 30 years later the main line might see double-stack trains on it again?
